No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been branded as the number one poker contender on the planet by quite a few of the top professionals. He was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to NJ before reaching the age of 1. His papa showed him to one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was hooked on poker and wished to learn every little thing he possibly could about the game. Phil routinely would tell his parents that he was planning on being a professional poker player. Phil did not permit the detrimental feedback from other people destroy his dream of being one of the strongest poker players on the planet.

He started playing seriously after acquiring a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He practiced his techniques at the poker rooms of Atlantic City. The beginning few years for Phil were a teaching period and winning wasn’t a regular outcome at the time. Phil made his mark at the 2000 WSOP where he made two final tables and won his 1st WSOP bracelet, in a $2, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha match. At the closing table he defeated quite a few of the well known pros including "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

Phil decided to take his skills to the successive level and headed out west to Vegas. He continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Ivey credits his achievements to dedication and an eternal love for the game of poker. Phil says that he is picking up skills every day and is incredibly abashed about his success. Phil knows he makes blunders every single game of poker and constantly strives to get better.

Although Phil has come first in some big-time tournaments, he favors winning cash games on a normal basis.
